St Lacbos is a site-specific lightbox installation that refers to the former use of the building
2c Kings Grove in London as a milk depot. The work questions those images which are
culturally revered, while simultaneously playing with the idea of aestheticized violence. Staged
like an advertisement lightbox facing the street, the work conveys at first glance only the image
of a saintly cow. The technical and chemical illustrations allude to discussions concerning
genetic manipulation and cloning, thereby creating an overall atmosphere of a sterile
laboratory that parodies the peaceful arrangement.
